When i was accepted to do my industrial training here, i was provided with a room to stay at the Level 3 of this company. The room is well maintained , all the basic needs has been provided such as washing machine, air conditioner and many more. June 2015

I was assigned for a quite a lot job since i registered in the company. I gain so many experience since the start. I was exposed how to work in the industry and on the field. I was given a various duty in each location. I am so glad to be exposed and learn all the thing from an expert in the film industry. The location of the job is not only in Kuala Lumpur, we got an offered from a client that sometimes are from another region of Malaysia. In addition, sometimes the client that we worked with is not a citizen. Some are from London , India and many more. Here i listed all the job that i done since i starting my industrial training here.

My first field job is as an Jimmy Jib Assistant and Technical Crew for an Iftar majlis in PWTC Kuala Lumpur. This is iftar is held by a Palestinian Organization where Datuk Zahid Hamidi is the VIP guest. This is where i get my first experience being on the field doing my first job in the industry. Here i learn how to setup a Jimmy Jib, how to layer the cable that we using. I also learn the procedure to do a live broadcast for Astro Oasis. My first time preparing the Jib's, I got a personal teaching time by Najmee who is the Jimmy Jib Operator.

 

                                

 

July 2015

My second Field Job is in National Stadium Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur where the match of Malaysia versus Liverpool FC. Here is where we are doing the live broadcast for the Liverpool TV that going to be live in London's Liverpool TV website. We cooperate with Astro in the whole broadcast process. Astro covered all the live broadcast for the game and we covered the session where Liverpool's TV Commentator talked. Here i experience my first Football Match live broadcast and to be honest, I am really enjoyed the entire time i was there. I never expect i can work so close to the sport which is my favourite sport and can be so close to the pitch. I worked with the production team from Liverpool's TV and it was a great cooperation between us and them. We solve the problem we had when the Wireless Microphone cant get the signal from the main antenna quickly. Here i also experience the international broadcast where i think the English is very important for any production house. In this broadcast job i was assigned to be a crew to setup the whole place, layered the cable that going to be used, and wrap when the match has finished. I met a few freelancers here that was really great team members and they also teach me a few things about broadcasting and also how to pack the equipment that been used properly.

           

 

                 

 

My next job is a TV's game show that was held in FINAS Studio in Ampang, Selangor. Here Jelas Juta Sdn Bhd was appointed to do a recording of a game show named "Buana Oh Buana" for Astro Prima and Astro Warna. This is my first time doing a Studio Recording's job. Here i learn how to layered cable more efficiently and safety. I learned that cable have their own route when shooting in a studio. The whole process that going through the entire shooting is really different than broadcasting a live broadcast in outdoor. The procedure through the entire recording process is really a great experience for me. To learn how to work with celebrity, how to approach them is a great knowledge that i got the entire 5 days i work with them. I was assigned as a technical crew and when the recording is been held i assisted the cameraman by holding the camera cable to avoid any problem in the camera's shot. At the end of every episode i will set up the projector that project the lyrics of the song that going to be sang by the celebrity in each episode. I enjoy the time there.

                                  

                             

August 2015

Third job is the job at Dataran Merdeka where the Doa Untuk Malaysia's event been held. Here i was assigned as a technical crew and Jimmy Jib's assistant for Mr Helmi Najmee ( Jimmy Jib's Operator ). I work with 3 guys Mr Helmi and Mr Andy to give a live feed for TV Al-Hijrah. We arrived at the location at 15:00 pm from Jelas Juta. We unload the equipment that we going to use from the lorry and setup straight at our position.I started to layer the cable, setup the jimmy jib with Mr Najmee. I setup the walkie talkie to be used for Mr Najmee and Mr Andy. Here we face the environment problem because the raining started at the moment we starting setup. We have to wait for the sky to be clear and then continue our setup at 16:00 pm. After the setup we test the video signal, audio signal. After the signal was clear and really ready to be roll, we wait for the TV Al-Hijrah's team to give us signal to start the camera feed. At 20:00 pm we started the event. We covered when the audience was praying and watching the event where Datuk Seri Najib the prime minister is the guest. At 22:00 pm the event finish and finish our wrap at 23:00 and load in the equipment in the lorry and then go straight home.

                                

 

My next job is The National Day at Merdeka Square. I was assigned as a Jimmy Jib assistant for Mr Najmee again. Here we provide the live feed for RTM with a Jimmy Jib's camera. We arrived at the location in early morning at 7:00 am. Then, we start to setup the Jimmy Jib. After the Jibs was setup, i lay the cable from the Jibs to the Operating Base (OB) Truck. The cable is 500 meter long and has to be lay through their own direction to be safe and neat. This job take 2 days to setup and 3 days to be rehearsal. The calling time through all this entire event is at 5:00 am in the morning because to avoid the traffic. This job teach me the real film industries environment where we have to work either is hot or raining. Have to face the crowd when the event was started. To manage to give the best shot for the client. This is a great knowledge for me to break in the film industries in the future.

                                 

 

September 2015

Then, my job is Karnival Keusahawanan Desa at Presint 3 Putrajaya. Here i was assigned as CCU's system assistant. I helped Mr Andy to setup the MCP system to give camera feed for RTM. The call time is at 8:00 am. We arrived at the location and setup at our position beside Operating Base Truck's RTM. I lay the TRIAX cable from the CCU system to Jimmy Jib Crane's Camera to send the video signal. The cable length is about 500 meter from the system to the Jibs. After the layer been done, i helped Mr Najmee setup the Jimmy Jib's Crane to be used at the opening ceremony. After that, the event started where Datuk Seri Najib was the guest. We cover when the arrival and during Prime Minister's speech. The event take about 2 hours and then we start our wrap session at 4:00 pm. After all the cable been roll to the drum's and all the equipment have been wrap we wait the lorry to come. We load the equipment in the lorry and go straight to Jelas Juta Sdn. Bhd.

Next, the job is been held in Pulau Pinang. I was assigned as Jimmy Jib assistant for Mr Megat. This is the first job I do outside Kuala Lumpur and Selangor region. We start our journey one day earlier. We convoy with a 2 lorry, 3 van and 2 car. The event is for the Indian's concert Jodi No.1 that been held in Spice Badminton Stadium. We arrived there after 4 hours driving from Kuala Lumpur. After we reached there, i helped the crew to load out the equipment from the lorry to be placed in the control room. Then we go to the condo that we rent to rest. The next day, we go back to the location and started our setup. I helped Mr Megat to setup the Jimmy Jib's crane. After the Jib's was setup, I lay the cable from the control room to the camera. The cable was lay through the cable path. The Jimmy Jib's crane this time is a little bit different than the others because we add the dutch head at the camera. So the camera can be used to tilt and pan 180 degrees. So the shot will became dynamic and suitable for a concert that really loud and enjoyable. When the event was held i sat in the control room and check on the AJA system that recording the hold program to the hard disk driver. Im gonna make sure the recording was on and record the whole event and how many percentage of the hard disk has been used also have to been check up time to time. After the 3 hours event we finally came to the end of the event. Its a wrap time, we clean and pack our equipment and load in the lorry. The wrap session take about 2 hours more because to transfer the recorded event from the AJA to the hard disk take about an hour and a half. After the transfer was done, we head straight to Kuala Lumpur and arrived at 7:00 am. This job is really tiring but really enjoyable. Its a tremendous experience for me and was fortunate to join the job with a great team.

                                   

 

          

          

         

       

      

After that, my next job is at Studio 4 Bangsar to do a game show recording named Tempur Gempur for RTM. We arrived at the location a day earlier to setup our gear and equipment. The setup been delayed for about 2 hours because of the vendor for the stage and the lighting face a difficulties because of the studio's location that a little bit far from the road. So they have to unload their equipment such as play wood and board far from the studio. After a bout 2 hours we finally can setup the MCP unit and put the camera in position. Then we layered the cable safely through the path and route. The next day we arrived at 7:00 am. We had breakfast and the shooting was delayed because the artist shown up late to the location. After that, we started to record the game show. I was assigned as AJA Operator where i make sure the game is recorded and make sure the percentage of space that been used in the AJA hard disk. As a conclusion, I learn that its either you are famous or not, when u are committed to the job you have to be professional about your calling time because it can effect the whole recording schedule. 

                           

 

                           

 

October 2015

UTEM's Convocation is my next job that was held in Melaka Technical University (UTEM) at Melaka. Its just a simple job that take 2 man to make it done. We just supply the plasma screen for the convocation. We supply 5 plasma screen TV for UTEM's media unit. We setup the screen at the position that was positioned. I was assigned to setup the screen at the position and its my job to swtich on the screen before the event started and to switch off after the event closed. We layered the BNC cable which is the cable that used to send video signal from the CCU's unit to the screen. I spent 3 days and 2 night there where in the night i guard the screen to avoid theft and to make sure the screen is safe from any harm. I enjoyed my time there where I worked with other production team that really good and professional team. After 3 days I was there, there is no problem at all. I learn how to mix the video signal from one BNC cable to the router/adapter to be separated to other BNC cable. The last day the convocation was finished at 12:00 pm and we start to pack up our screens and equipment to the lorry. I helped the production team to pack their system since my job was done quicker than i thought. I realized some of the small Malaysian's production is actually pretty good and really professional when handling such an big event.

                                

 

Then, my next job is at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur where i was assigned as a technical crew for RTM. I was assigned to layered the cable to use for the Malaysia Invasion Mixed Martial Art Championship 2015. We arrived at the location in the morning the day before the event going to be live. Due to some circumstances during the setup where the power supply cant provide the light the setup was delayed because we cant see the cable route. The next day, fortunately the power supply was fixed and we able to layered the cable before the event started in the night. We layered the cable through the cable's route from the control room to the camera. At night when the event started I assisted the cameraman to handle the cable while he walk around the fighting ring. Again, fortunately the cameraman give me the chance to operate my first handheld camera to give the live feed during the fighting event was going. It was a big knowledge for me to know how to handle and feel how to operate a handheld camera. This is the second camera that i was given chance to operate after the Jimmy Jib's camera. The event was held about 3 hours and half. After the event was finished we roll the cable back to the cable's drum and pack our gear. We heading home at 12;00 midnight.

                                

 

My next job is at Putrajaya where the BSN Marathon was held. The event is started at 14:00 pm. The camera was Panasonic 350 2 units and one set of Go Pro Hero 4. We go there with one car and two motorbike where the motorbike going to be used to follow the marathon runners. But unfortunately, the event was cancelled in the last minute due to the extreme haze. But the event that was held like the booth, performances, is really enjoyable and delightful. After the marathon was cancelled we only asked by BSN to provide the footage from the stage's performances , booth and so on. After that, we pack our equipment and head straight to Jelas Juta .
